Report with Figure and Table

Key Elements:

When incorporating a table or figure into your report, take into account the following considerations:

  1. Number: Tables or figures are numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals above the tables and figures in bold face.
  2. Title: Place the title below the number and above the table or figure. The title is italicized and not in bold face. It is written in title case.
  3. Note: Additional information or notes are placed below the table. If the table or figure is being cited from another source, proper citation will be given here. The title is enclosed in quotation marks and is written in title case. When citing a journal article, italicize the title of the journal; for books or websites, italicize the title of the page or book.
